Organization Description
Goodwill Industries, is a non-profit, social enterprise that recycles donated goods and provides employment services to create opportunity for meaningful work for persons who face barriers to employment.
Duties / Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively developing employment opportunities for individuals who face barriers to employment through vigorous employer outreach.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of job development principles and effective sales techniques, current labour market trends and employment preparation skills
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills and experience with training, intervening and mediating techniques in a variety of different worksites
  • Demonstrated ability to apply government program resources to match employer and  participant needs
  •  Experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or persons with barriers to employment
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a multi disciplinary team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills
  • Flexibility to changing demands of the job
  • Post secondary education in Social Services or related field
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills 
  •  Valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation
