Organization Description
|
Ontario March of Dimes (OMOD) draws on more than 55 years of experience to serve people with physical disabilities of all ages and created March of Dimes Canada (MODC) in 2001 to share its knowledge and expertise across the country. We are the largest community-based rehabilitation and advocacy organization for people with physical disabilities in the province. The organization operates programs and services through over 70 sites in Ontario, has control over three subsidiary non-profits, delivers government funded and donor funded services to over 40,000 consumers annually across the province and across Canada.

Duties / Responsibilities
|
- Lead a team of employment services staff to implement and operate general employment services functions.
- Supervise the coordination of services provided by staff including: service planning and assessments, case management, counseling, workshops, skills training job development, job placement and job retention activities.
- Provide direct service to a limited number of consumers.
- Assign work, monitor work product quality, and oversee the relationship with employers in the community.
- Monitor administrative and payment functions in order to facilitate the management of the MTCU - Employment Ontario funded program, MCSS - Ontario Disability Support Program; and other employment services programs.
- Coordinate with Regional Employment Services Manager (RESM) in facilitating staff accountability for the implementation of the services within agreed program plans and budget.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the program marketing plan.
- Develop and provide input for annual budget and forecast

Requirements / Qualifications
|
- Bachelors Degree; 3 years experience working in the provision of Employment Services as funded through municipal, provincial or federal contracts
- Sales and marketing experience
- Experience in and sensitivity to issues/barriers that persons with disabilities experience
- Excellent supervisory skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and problem solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Windows, database an asset
