CALL FOR PRESENTERS

Cannexus 2011 is designed to promote the exchange of information and explore innovative approaches in the areas of career counselling and career development. Presenters and delegates interested in career development from all over Canada as well as the rest of the world gather for Cannexus. CERIC - Canadian Education and Research Institute for Counselling, invites individuals or organisations with an interest in presenting to submit a brief outline using the Proposal Form for consideration and encourages them to inform colleagues of this opportunity. GUIDELINES
  • Electronically submit completed Proposal Form to cfp@ceric.ca
  • Submissions may be in either French or English
  • If more than one person is presenting, one presenter must be identified as the “Principle Presenter” and all co-presenters must submitted
  • All Conference follow-up information including committee acceptance or decline of the proposal will be sent via e-mail to the “Principle Presenter’ who will then have the responsibility to pass the information on to any additional presenter(s) for their session
  • All presenters must be present and participate as proposed if their abstract is accepted
  • CERIC reserves the right to make final presentation selections, edit abstracts, titles and biographies and choose which session will receive simultaneous interpretation
  • Presenters may be invited to repeat their session depending on the number of speaking opportunities available
  • Standard evaluation forms will be available for participants to fill out at the end of each session and presenters are reminded to allow time for this. Results of these evaluations will be made available to presenters after the results have been tabulated and made available to the committee.
TERMS OF PRESENTING

Cannexus is a not-for-profit event presented by a registered charity. Our standard agreement states that presenters will:

  • Receive a $100 discount off full registration fee for Cannexus if payment is received before September 30, 2010
  • Have sole responsibility for accommodation, travel and AV requirements
  • Provide their own handout materials with translations and laptop if needed
